Yellow Tape
Leaking tornado, roll and dodge
rock bottom. My ship named Earthquake,
this a long race. Atomic finish line,
end built brick by brick. Far away stars
tease a way back. Empty planet under
my feet. I’d rather look up. Warm cheeks
and frostbite facts. Mirror overheating.
Famine. Worse. I go back and forth.
Feeling like it was all inevitable,
thinking we can change the finale.
Genome filled with genocide.
Death poured from the jump.
Venom stains, anybody can
obliterate. Taking ain’t nothing new.
We can only spin the wheel together.
Everybody giving their everything.
Our arena lacking balance, that
doesn’t mean we’ve lost. Blue moon
I believe in myself. I can honestly say
I never lost faith in you. We’re the direct
route. Win or learn. Climbing comes hard
when true stays endangered. Crucible
is a requirement, not an anomaly.
I know it can’t be easy. I know
it’s doable. Loss like a flood,
a crocodile, a phantom, a tiger.
The bag’s open. I haven’t found
a lock that fits. I shed my anchor,
unearthed a growing heart. There’s
something guiding me. Call it destiny.
