Himalayan Cost

Himalayan Cost

I don’t hold a single answer
born filthy sick
hurled silent screaming
from a gory nightmare
I grope wearily
swim tender black jello
until I hit a solid rectangle
lift my phone
touch the fingerprint reader
2:48 a.m.
refresh and I scroll
no cure yet
only cracked blue light
brutal heatwave
jumbled numbers
and a critical failure
check again
I see more disaster
blurry decay
gunpowder escalation
people are like a chain of islands
doomed alone
sky falling
bone-dry ocean
I ain’t know any peace
my motivation is organic
I’m looking for clean air
and lovely breath
